Together with Boon Wurrung Senior Elder Carolyn Briggs, we arrived at the name Djeembana which translates to 'community'.
Djeembana Estate will deliver approximately 128,000 sqm of warehouse space incorporating innovative, sustainable, high-quality design with a focus on delivering wellbeing for the workers operating in the estate. Located 24 km west of Melbourne's CBD, Djeembana Estate resides in Truganina, Australia's largest logistics location.
It fuels workforce productivity and wellbeing through dedicated open green spaces, cycling and walking tracks, and outdoor basketball court. Breaking ground in 2024 at 865 Boundary Road, Truganina, Stage 1 of the development will feature two flexible warehouses, which are now available to lease.
Targeting a 5-Star Green Star standard, Stage 1 will feature two customisable warehouse facilities ranging from ~7,500 to 30,000 sqm.
Both warehouses will feature super canopies, a ridge clearance height of 13.7 m and an 8 tonne post load for the internal concrete slab.
With a total site area of 32.76 hectares and 128,000 sqm of warehouse space, Djeembana Estate is superbly serviced by the M1 from the CBD and is 25km from Melbourne Airport via the M80. The Port of Melbourne is located 24km east and is the most significant container and general cargo port in Australasia and one of the top four container ports in the southern hemisphere.

A key feature of the estate will be the new public park that will include a basketball court, covered seated areas, barbecue facilities and a grass oval. The highly landscaped, tree-lined estate will be accessed via a signposted intersection on Boundary Road. Bike paths will connect Djeembana Estate with the surrounding neighbourhood. Djeembana Estate tenants will benefit from extensive frontage to Boundary Road.
